Jonathan Stone- Athletic Trainer

Email: Jstone@bobcat.k12.ar.us

Athletic trainer

Mr. Stone is Berryville Schools athletic trainer, a healthcare professional who specializes in preventing, diagnosing, and treating injuries related to physical activity. They work closely with student-athletes to keep them safe, healthy, and able to perform at their best.

Often the first responder when an injury happens during practice or games. He evaluates injuries on the spot, provides immediate care, and decides whether an athlete can safely continue or needs further medical attention.

Beyond emergency care, athletic trainers play a key role in injury prevention. They design conditioning and stretching programs, teach proper techniques, and help athletes use equipment safely. If an injury does occur, they guide the recovery process through rehabilitation exercises and monitor progress to ensure a safe return to play.

He helps coordinate care, explains injuries and recovery plans, and advocates for the athlete’s overall well-being—both physically and mentally.

In short, an athletic trainer is a vital part of your child’s health support system in sports, focused on safety, prevention, and recovery!
