I attended Berryville Schools until I graduated in 1991. After graduating, I attended the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I recieved a Master’s degree in Reading with a dyslexia endorsement & a Reading Specialist endorsement from the University of Central Arkansas in 2017. I am currently the District Dyslexia Coordinator and tester.

I began teaching at Berryville in 1995. This makes my 22nd year of teaching. I am currently the K-12 Dyslexia Therapist/Coordinator.
I taught Kindergarten at Berryville for 13 years. I then moved to second grade for 4 years, and finally I taught 5th grade for 3 years. I have now been the K-12 Dyslexia Therapist/Coordinator for two years.
I was married to my high school sweetheart, Tony Ray, until January 2017 when he passed away unexpectantly. We have two children together.
