Carroll County Cattlemen Scholarship - $500 – must be a senior and a daughter/son or granddaughter/grandson
of a Carroll County Cattlemen member and pursuing an agriculture related major in college. See counselor’s office

Arkansas Educational Television Network (AETN) – K-12 student film program. Student Selects: A Young
Film – This program gives students the opportunity to submit films for potential inclusion in a statewide broadcast and 
online, and the opportunity for high school seniors to compete for four $2,500 scholarships. Check it out at

QuestBridge’s 2010 College Prep Scholarship program – provides more than 1,000 awards that equip outstanding
low-income high school juniors with the knowledge necessary to compete for admission to leading colleges such as
Emory University, Harvard University, Stanford University, the University of Notre Dame, the University of Pennsylvania,
and Yale University. Possibly include a new laptop computer, full scholarships to college summer programs, and career
mentoring opportunities. Deadline March 29, 2010.

Writer’s Workshop by Steve Berry – Ever wondered if you could write a novel? New York Times Bestselling Author

Northwest Technical Institute – one tuition waiver scholarship for the upcoming school year. This scholarship will
pay tuition charges for any full-time, diploma-granting program of study for one academic year. The approximate value
of this award is $2,400. See counselor’s office for details and applications. Deadline April 16, 2010.
 
North Arkansas Regional Medical Center Junior Volunteer Program – is a summer volunteer program for 
students 14-17 years old. The Junior Volunteer experience exposes participants to the wide range of hospital based
medical careers while giving the participant a chance to share their time in a positive manner. Students commit to donating 
a minimum of 100 hours of their time over the length of the Program. Under direct supervision of NARMC employees,
Junior Volunteers perform assigned duties, which contribute to the overall quality of care and service to the hospital.

is April 1, 2010.
 
Arkansas State Police Preparatory Trooper Academy – This class will consist of high school sophomores, juniors 
and seniors at the time your application is submitted. See counselor’s office for more details and applications. Deadline
for your packet to be received by the Academy is Friday, May 21, 2010.
 
Beth Vacanti Visual Artists of Northwest Arkansas Scholarship - $1,000 for a talented graduating senior high
school student artist for continuing art study on the university level. Deadline April 1, 2010. See counselor’s office
for more details and applications.
 
St. John’s Foundation – Berryville Scholarship Program - $1,000 for graduating high school senior, who has the
intention of pursuing a field of study that relates to health care. Priority will be given to those applicants who participated in
the Medical Explorers or the Volunteen Program as well as those applicants who are children or grandchildren of
coworkers or Board Members at St. John’s Hospital – Berryville. Deadline April 9, 2010. Applications and more 
information are in the counselor’s office.
 
National Rural Electric Youth Tour at Washington, D.C.JUNIORS – June 9-17 – Carroll Electric will again

Carroll County Conservation District Scholarship - $4,000 for senior interested in agriculture related studies in
an accredited college or university. More information is in the counselor’s office. Deadline March 19, 2010.
 
M*A*S*H Program – (Fayetteville)  2- week program for students entering grades 11-12 in the Fall 2010 and
interested in health-related careers. July 12-23 – 8am-4pm. Deadline to apply April 2.

M*A*S*H Program – (Harrison) a two-week intensive summer program open to students who will be entering grades 11-12 in the
Fall 2010, have successfully completed a Biology class, and carry a minimum 3.0 GPA. The 2010 M*A*S*H program
is scheduled for June 14th-25th. Deadline for applications is April 1st. There is no charge to participate.

Ernest Whitelaw – Don Kinney Scholarship awarded by the American Indian Center of Arkansas. $500
The documentation required is a CDIB card or tribal enrollment documentation from a federal recognized tribe.

Imagine America Scholarship – $1,000 The award-winning Imagine America Scholarship Program helps thousands of
high school seniors each year attend a career college. If you are considering attending a technical, vocational or

CARREER OPPORTUNITY
Carroll Electric Cooperative is searching for students who are interested in obtaining a Technical Certificate in High Voltage 
Lineman Technology. In a unique program at Arkansas State University (ASU) – Newport, the Electric Cooperatives of Arkansas
Sponsor students in a one-year program. This sponsorship includes paying the cost of tuition. This will be an exciting and rewarding
opportunity to develop technical skills and pursue an outstanding career. Applications are available in the counselor’s office.

Ralph G. Norman Scholarship – (The Learning Disabilities Association of Arkansas) $2,500 This scholarship fund was
established to provide assistance to young adults with learning disabilities so they may pursue higher education.

U.S. Bank’s Internet Scholarship Program – 40 - $1,000 scholarships to participating colleges or universities through
a random drawing process. Deadline March 31, 2010.
